My name is Sara. I am one of the hygienists here at Michigan Avenue Dental Associates. I am a recent Chicagoan. My husband had a job transfer to Chicago just at the time I was finishing my second of my two undergraduate degrees. My second degree was from the Dental Hygiene Department at the University of Michigan. We have now settled here in Chicago and love it. We have a lovely daughter, Ava Rain, who occupies most of our nonworking time. Not only am I a recent Chicagoan I am also a relatively recent emigrant to this beautiful country. I came to the United States as a student studying polymers at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. Mi. I qualified for an academic scholarship to study in the field of Polymers and Coatings and worked hard to earn an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree. I worked as a chemist for a couple of years in Michigan, but gradually realized I had not found my passion. The fond memories of my father through out my childhood working as a dentist back in my country of birth, evoked within me a longing to follow in his footprints. I knew now I wanted to go into the field of dentistry. In September 2002 I was accepted into the University of Michigan's Dental Hygiene Program. I graduated from the University in 2005 and here I am now with my family in Chicago. I really look forward in seeing you as a new patient and will do my very best in providing you with the best in dental hygiene care as possible. |
